ano po ang diffence between the two in terms of image result?
sana po may makatulong sa aking mga tanong... i still have until tuesday to know the difference... hehehe Grin salamat po!!!

as for your question regarding IS and non-IS, non-IS wins the battle of Image quality. IS versions adds another layer of lens element (IS lens layer). yung pag dami ng lens elemnt nito ang nagkakababa ng image quality. but generally speaking hindi naman sobrang malayo ang performance ng IQ nitong dalawang lens. you can only compare this side by side with meticulous eyes (like master bry's) Grin. IS feature is an advantage for you sir vic lalo na sa low-light theater ka nag sho-shoot. but syempre value for money and image quality should be balanced. 20-30k difference yung dalawang lens.  Grin

sir vic look for back focus problems, sharpness (kasi minsan kailangan ng calibration para magfocus ng maayos) andphysical internal lens structure. baka may fungus or dirt na sa loob kahit bago.

and one more thing check the label make sure its CANON or TAMRON not CAYNON or TAMRUN. china un pag ganun. hehehhehe! =)

sir vic! one more thing, if buy ka ng lens sa photoworld, try to consider din yung SIGMA 70-200. i has great reviews din. and big price difference. meronng TAMRON, SIGMA at CANON dun. you can try it out. before ka bumili. =)

i tried tamron pero since di ko nga alam ang diffrnce sa canon eh di ma kumpara... try ko yung sigma, pero mabilis kaya din yun? coz i heard yung tamron di kasing bilis ng canon ultrasonic... tnx jaii.

i prefer sigma over tamron. natry ni doc and tam ung tamron, mabagal talaga. sigma has a good reputation for third party lens, with cheaper price.

syempre canon or nikon brands are still the best for your cam, no doubt about it, but yun lang mas mahal sya compared to 3rd party lens.
