Stylized Comic Book Effect

Open your desired image
duplicate the image and rename it image 1
apply a surface blur of 20 px, 15 threshold on image 1
duplicate the image 1 and rename it image 2
desaturate the image 2
load the luminosity by clicking the channels and ctrl+click on the RGB
create a blank layer and rename it image 3
inverse the selection
fill the selection with black
deselect
hide the layers image 2 and image 3
select image 1
add a cutout filter 8, 0, 3
duplicate the image 1 and rename it image 4
change the blending mode to soft light
select and show image 2
add a filter poster edges 1, 1, 1
adjust the levels, slide the white to 100-150
change the blending mode to multiply
select and show image 3
load the selection by ctrl+click on the image 3
add a layer mask
add a filter color halftone radius 5
invert the layer mask
change the blending mode to overlay
save and use your new image

btw, may alam ka ba para mukhang "glowing" or "glossy" yung nasa portrait. im thinking yung parang nasa magazine. hehe

thanks sa tutorial Sir dami ko natututunan dito .. nalito lang ako dun sa duplicate image (layer pala un) meron din kasi duplicate image sa CS2 (kakaupgrade ko lng hehe error yung CS4 ko eh)
